Anthony Freedman-trained colt I Am Immortal was most impressive in winning here on debut. He showed speed to take the early lead and then set a quick tempo. He got a break on turning for home and then fought back really well to score in good style. He looks a classy colt with a bright future. Godolphin's Microphone was smartly away from his wide barrier (10), raced outside the leader and eventual winner (I Am Immortal) and kept fighting on in good style for second. Alburq raced in fourth place, one out and one back, moved up rounding the home turn and kept battling on really well in the straight for third. Another Godolphin-raced colt Auxin had a good trip in third place on the rails and held on nicely for (2.4 lengths) fourth after seeming to have had every chance. Phillip Stokes-trained colt Brazen Brando was slow to move from a wide barrier (9), raced in last place in the ten-horse field and ran on really well, between runners, for (2.6 lengths) fifth in a very encouraging debut while Lindsay Park-trained colt Exeter settled back in eighth place and also did well in running on nicely for (3.4 lengths) sixth, on debut.
