Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Sale, Sunshine Coast, Port Augusta, Northam, Devonport and Alice Springs.

SALE: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM

Competitive. ZAKU (7) threatened three times and then was a touch plainer at Ballarat. She has enough early pace to position forward and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Hard fit and looks a solid each-way play. ITSUKUSHIMA (1) seeks the hat trick for a leading metro yard and keeps improving. Maps for a soft run and is also a value hope. DE VENUS (4) was a dominant maiden winner over 1400m here last time out and the rise in trip doesn't appear an issue. Should be in the finish of this event if he can run up to what he did last time out.
SELECTIONS: Zaku gets the nod.

SUNSHINE COAST POLY: RACE 2 @ 1:40 PM

BOHEMIAN LAD (1) has two wins and a second from three starts and resumes here for first start since scoring a comfortable 2-length victory in Sunshine Coast 3yo Bm62 over 1000m on February 4 as short-priced favourite. Expect him to be extremely hard to beat again. MALTALI (3) has struck winning form with a maiden victory at Gatton followed by a last-start success over 1000m in a C1 at Sunshine Coast. Watch for him to be finishing well and he is capable of figuring in the finish again. PLATINUM LIES (4) is racing well and should press forward and give a good sight again. MISSILE ONE (6) broke through for a maiden win last start and can go on with it here with another bold showing.
SELECTIONS: Bohemian Lad on top.

PORT AUGUSTA: RACE 6 @ 3:55 PM

EVENING BRIDE (6) got the job done comfortably over this course and distance last time out, pulling away to win impressively. She'll need some luck from the draw, but she was dominant in this grade last start and there's no reason why she couldn't go back-to-back. HEY MICHAEL (4) will put up a fight after running home to win narrowly over 1350m here 28 days ago. Polly Bewster hops on and claims 4kg and the wide draw doesn't hurt the gelding's chances. Watch for him flashing late. KATIM'S CLUB (5) was 20-1 at Morphettville last time out and brings that form onto the dirt now. He was beaten as favourite at Bodertown two back, but the three efforts this campaign are right up to winning this. Just has to bring that form to this surface. SEVEN SECRETS (2) won well as favourite over 1200m here last start and can go on with the job. EXCELMAN (1) is racing well but is a niggle sticking to this distance.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Evening Bride.

NORTHAM: RACE 3 @ 4:50 PM

PERCUSSION PRINCE (1) only just missed at Pinjarra last time out and steps out to the mile for the first time. Should be prominent from the outset and Steve Parnham remaining in the saddle is a positive sign. Finds a very suitable race and just has to run up to his last start effort to be winning SNIP OF GOSSIP (2) hits this third-up after finishing 3.1L away as favourite at Pinjarra last time out. Now out to the mile for the first time, he is trending the right way coming into this. Can make his presence felt. FULL OF LIFE (10) ran on strongly over this trip at Pinjarra and looks to have plenty of upside. She's likely to get back from the draw once again, but if the pace is on up front she'll be storming home late in the race. LIEN HYPHEN (8) drops back to this trip after being well beaten in recent efforts and is not to be discounted. DESERT EDGE (4) can improve out in trip with Parnham hopping in the irons.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Percussion Prince.

DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 4:29 PM

KIREINA MARUBRAH (7) is a leader who won the CL1 at Launceston before a narrow miss at Hobart in a CL2 over 1400m. Has to step up to the mile but is fit and she's raced well here. NO ACCESS (2) brings decent Hobart form. Finds easier and has the rail and 3kg claim. Presents on a 7-day return. THREE'S A CROWD (5) will be fitter and can't be ruled out back in class. SELECTIONS: Leaning to Kireina Marubrah.
